Portrait Photoshoot in Central London | K

Kelsie’s photoshoot was one of the last ones I’ve done before the second lockdown in London.

We started in Westminster, in a super sunny (and the windiest) morning! Five minutes later, it was p-o-u-r-i-n-g rain, pouring! After 45min under rain, protecting the camera with a plastic bag, myself with a rain cover for tourists that I found half an hour later, and after a broken umbrella, I can honestly say I love this session. It makes me realise that sometimes it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. It would be amazing to always shoot at golden hour with the most breathtaking view but to be honest.. I would say this looks pretty perfect to me as well.

Kelsie hates her smile (I know! You can tell her how crazy that is!) and right at the end of the session, I’ve managed to capture a full-blown smile. Funny enough, that photo ended up being one of my absolute favourite of our session.
The way we perceive ourselves is never the same for other people. The little annoyances we have with ourselves, the little things we hate to see, other people will find them beautiful.

My passion for photography comes from the chance to show people how they look like through someone else’s eyes - the in between breaths, the way you look when you’re focusing, the moment when you let your guard down, the split second you catch the camera looking like an old friend that has always been there. Those are the moments that make a portrait special.
